∂eƒ sound “Bird(s).i.View” feat. Nikko Gray

Saw Nikko and Def last month at Art n Soul in LA and they BLEW.ME.AWAY. These two, independently both super unique artists with diverse and interesting perspectives and as you can imagine - when they come together it’s MAGIC.

Check out Def’s latest jam produced by Brook D’Leau (J Davey) with the vocal stylings of the gorgeous Ms. Nikko Gray. Keep it locked - Cali is doin’ big thangs.

Reva DeVito + Roane Namuh | Frozen

Reva DeVito and Roane Namuh are back at it - and with a super splendid visual for ‘Frozen’. Enjoy and check out ‘Detox’ – the jam that made us fall in love with her a few years ago.

Intergalactic (Benny Tones RIP MCA² Edit)

This week we lost one of the greatest in our hip hop history, Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch of the Beastie Boys. Adam was 1/3 of the Beastie Boys, songwriter, [film] director, father and husband. MCA and his contributions to this universe were infinite and we are thankful for the legacy he’s left behind.

To pay homage, Benny Tones (New Zealand), the guy behind all of the amazing sound that is Electric Wire Hustle, has put together a really dope re-edit of the Beastie’s classic, “Intergalactic”.

Rest in Power MCA.

Four Tet | Jupiters

We’ve been HUGE fans of Four Tet for many years and dude never ceases to amaze with his etherial, electronic yet soulful compositions. This latest one [which turns out to be a new single] has over 73,000 plays in less than 4 days on Soundcloud. Once you hear it (make sure you at least have headphones on or badass speakers to listen) and you’ll know why. Wait for it, wait for it [and then play it over and over]! This 12” with “Ocoras” on the B side is due out later this year on Four Tet’s Text Label.

Enjoy “Jupiters” below and check out some other Four Tet gems of the past we dig.

From Four Tet’s Pause album released in 2001.

From Four Tet’s third album Rounds in 2003.

XXYYXX | About You

Meet XXYYXX (Marcel Everett), 16 year old music maker from Orlando, Florida. We were frist introduced to his music during our recent visit to Soulection Radio with Joe Kay. Joe played a track from XXYYXX and we were floored.

‘About You’ is a dreamy and sexy hair-bender with video to match. Enjoy and then go here and buy music from XXYYXX, it rules.
