Teflon Dons | Tomorrow People w/ Gregory Porter

Originally released [strictly on vinyl] in 1998, this timeless joint “Tomorrow People” from the Teflon Don’s (Aaron Paar & Dave Fogg) marks a super pivotal time in house music. This organic, garage house-y jam combines ultimate danceability and musical simplicity, amazingly simple soulful vocals and an impeccable structure.

Here are some words from the Teflon Don’s talking about this project:

Tomorrow People is a garage house classic originally released in 1998 by the Teflon Dons (Dave Fogg and Aaron Paar). It was a very limited vinyl pressing under the Worldship Music imprint. There was an unknown singer at the time, that laid down a stirring, powerful vocal in one take. That singer was Gregory Porter, Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist and Broadway star. This is a rare dance music recording that would foreshadow his talent and eventual worldwide recognition. We wanted to share this hidden gem, it still gives us goosebumps when we hear it.

Lookout for the digital release of “Tomorrow People” soon.
